My family and I opened West Sight Optical on Wonderland Road, and a lot of the people who walk through our door are Western students. Most of them have the same story. Their glasses broke halfway through the term, or their prescription is a couple of years old and the screen at the front of the lecture hall is getting blurry.

We run a student promo where you get a complete pair of prescription glasses, frame and lenses, for $99. There are a few conditions, so come in and I'll walk you through it before you pick anything. No pressure, no upselling you on stuff you don't need.

Bring your prescription from any optometrist

We don't do eye exams here, but we fill prescriptions from any eye doctor in London, whether that's a clinic near campus, in Masonville or back home. Just bring a valid prescription and we can get started the same visit.

Long study nights and screen time

If you're on a laptop for hours a day, ask about blue light filtering. It's a $49 add-on per pair if you want it. Anti-reflective coating also helps a lot with glare from screens and lecture hall lights.

Want a backup pair?

Glasses tend to get lost or sat on during the school year. Our two-pair package starts at $249 for single vision, with frames, prescription lenses and scratch coating included, so you always have a spare.

Getting here from campus

We're at 490 Wonderland Rd S in West London, a straight trip down Wonderland from the Western University area. We're also close to Byron, Westmount and Oakridge. Walk-ins are welcome, so you don't need to book anything.
