One of the questions we hear regularly at West Sight Optical is: “Can I keep my frames and just get new prescription lenses?” The answer is often yes, depending on the condition and design of the frame. If you like your existing glasses, there is no reason to automatically throw them away just because you need new lenses.

In many cases, yes. If your frame is still in good condition but your prescription has changed, we can discuss replacing the lenses while keeping your existing frame. And if you have prescription lenses you want moved into another suitable frame, bring them in and we'll examine the situation and see what is possible. Not every frame or lens combination can be transferred safely, but we'll tell you honestly what can and cannot be done.
