Single Vision, Bifocal or Progressive: Which One Do You Need?

Your prescription decides a lot of this, but people still get confused by the terms. Here's the plain version.
Single vision
One prescription across the whole lens. It corrects one distance, either far away or up close for reading. This is what's included in our two-pair package starting at $249.
Bifocal
Two prescriptions in one lens, usually distance on top and reading at the bottom, with a visible line between them.
Progressive
Also called no-line multifocals. The lens gradually changes from distance at the top, through middle distance, to reading at the bottom. No line, and you get the in-between range that's handy for computers and dashboards. Our two-pair progressive and multifocal package starts at $548.
Not sure?
If your prescription has a reading addition, you'll likely be choosing between bifocal and progressive. We'll explain the differences, let you know what we think suits your day, and leave the choice to you.
